Install Pnote

Before you begin

Install Obsidian, choose a vault and back up important content before installing or updating plugins.

The website does not yet provide a verified public plugin download. Confirm the source and version with whoever supplied your package. For installation help, contact business@pnote.md.

Install a package manually

1. Close Obsidian, or disable the previous plugin version first.
2. Place the package's main.js, manifest.json and styles.css in .obsidian/plugins/paranote/ inside your vault.
3. Reopen Obsidian and enable Pnote under Settings → Community plugins.
4. Create a group and project, then save a test note without sensitive information.

paranote remains the plugin's directory identifier; Pnote is its display name. Do not rename existing plugin or data directories just because the brand name has changed.

People and Studio have their own packages and manifests. Do not overwrite Pnote's files with another plugin's package.

If the plugin does not appear

Check that you selected the correct vault, copied the complete package and did not add an extra folder level. Keep a backup and the previous version when updating. When asking for help, include the Obsidian version, plugin version and steps to reproduce the problem. Never send passwords, API keys or your entire private vault.
